SALUTATION

 
 I'm very happy you are visiting our parish on the Web page, therefore I want to send you my warm salutation. This catholic Parish of Santa Maria de Gracia is the eldest in the neighborhood of Gracia in Barcelona. It was founded in 1835. It is located in the entrance of the street "Gran de Gracia" (see map), going through "Diagonal" coming from the famous "Paseo de Gracia", in the center of Town.

Gracia is a neighborhood with great social and cultural life. The "Fiesta Mayor de Gracia" is famous for its beautiful nice performances  and decorated streets; also for the big participation of the neighbors in the party celebrated every summer in the 15th of August.

We offer you a beautiful temple, with a big devotion to Holy Mary ( Fatima, Montserrat, Asunción, Bell Amor ) and the most popular saints in Barcelona (San Judas Tadeo, Santa Rita de Casia, San Pancracio, San Jose...) and a fraternal celebration of the Holy Mass
and different catholic celebrations (Baptism, Holy Communion, Weddings....).

But what is more important, we want to offer you this: the faith in Jesus our Savior, and our love and devotion to His Holy Mother, Virgin Mary. We invite you to celebrate with us the new life in Jesus who has risen from death. Also we want to help ill and lonely people. We work to be a "community of communities" open to the challenges of the new millennium  in communion with the Pope John Paul II.
